Swadesh.....

Two years.. 730 days...Went fast..I am excited these days...I booked the ticket for visiting India after 2 years.

"Yeh jo desh hi tera...
Swadesh hai tera
Tujhe yeh pukaaraa..."

This is a song from a Bollywood movie called Swadesh... which means "This is your country and It is calling you..."

These days I started giving trouble to my room mates and friends by trying to sing this high pitch song (in typical Rahman's tone) whenever possible.

"Diversity means India"

It has been two years since I left India. I was not knowing the values of India before coming here to Canada. In India, we have 35 different countries. Every 200 or 300 km you travel, you will find an another new country with different cultures, different food varieties, different language but with a same egoistic feeling "Indian".

India with its hot climate has desert, rain forests, mountains, hill stations, plataeu regions, rivers and beaches. You go to the museums and you will be surprised with the real history dating back to early 1000's. It is not like any new country with their museums dating back to 1900's antiques. Regarding arts, We have atleast 20 different dances ranging from fastest to slowest. We have 23 official languages. Regarding the number of dialects, its huge....1652. Regarding dishes, Its amazing...If you are connoissuer of food, please have a visit to India. Thats why India is "land of countries".

India is the mother and origin of four different religions. Nine different religions are practised in India. India is the largest secularistic country. No one questions you of your religious beliefs.

Adaptability

Everyother Indian is multilinguistic. These different varieties of experiences gives an Indian a edge of getting easier adaptability. Each and every Indian will express their own opinion about any other topic eventhough they don't know ABCD of that topic. Yes, the largest democracy has given enough freedom to express our views. The largest democracy also enables the "survival of the fittest" gene within us. We are strong competitors, by hook or crook, we get it done.

Also, I am also wondering whether I would have written only 10% of the real diversity!!??!!

After reading all these good things about India...You can ask me why you are just visiting India then !!!!!!!!!!!!!!...Silence please................

Reason for just visiting "SURVIVAL OF THE FITTEST".......

UNIVERSE(SOLAR(EARTH(india)))
...1..WE ARE HUMAN.....
...2..WE ARE INDIAN....

WE NEED ALL IN EARTH...not only our peoples....

Anyhow,

I AM PROUD TO BE AN INDIAN for being born in a country of "freedom" & "MILLIONS OF HUMANS"...

Hmmm - too many people are writing comments in "my name".....

On the blog: you have not grown up since high school days.... that's probably why you have no answers when someone asked you why you are just visiting India. For Heaven's sake - plz. don't say there are many "countries" in India - I want it to be one - until however long it be!!!!!

Some supportive thoughts: I did realize a lot of things having been not too close to India in a while. Among the most astonishing things to my friends are: there are several "New Years" celebrated throughout India, Papads come in different sizes, the same dot of ketchup that means that a woman is married can mean that one is devout to some deity (but need not married to anyone), that it costs a student 1500 bucks for a trip to India, that people invite whoever they knew since they were born for their wedding, that a typical Indian wedding costs (initial and recurring) about a fifth of a man's savings in life, that Indian women wear much purer gold compared to their counterparts in the Americas, that a cow has to go inside a new house before it can be inhabited and that this rule is prevalent not just among country brooks but also amidst highly educated professionals, and much more like these....

Yeah, I do have my long lists of "fun facts abt India", "you are an Indian if", etc. and I am just being polite not to rant on....

Hi Shri,

No one asked me yet and I do know the answers for that question...
